I am proud to be a woman owned business. I am proud to say we are a sustainable resource company. I am proud to be locally owned and operated and supported by other locally owned and operated businesses.
What does it mean to be really sustainable? Sustainability is is the ability to continue a defined behavior indefinitely. What is my companies defined behavior? We vow to have 80% renewable sustainable resources. Wood that is unused from builds, will be re-purposed into smaller projects. We donate our sawdust that is collected to farms, gardeners and restaurants (for clean up). We incorporate reclaimed wood pieces into our builds at a constant.
It’s more than just declaring you are sustainable. You need to behave, live and operate that way. We have a Sustainable Businesses Model.
- We incorporates principles of sustainability into each of our business decisions.
- We supply environmentally friendly products (furniture/wood art) that replace demand for nongreen products.
- We are greener than our traditional competition.
- We have made an enduring commitment to environmental principles in our business operations
I need to reiterate that this is not a “tooting my own horn or patting my own back” post. This is just a deceleration of what our company stands for. So many times you see these statements and hear about these companies that toss around sustainability as a keyword in a marketing campaign. I can honestly say it and mean it.
Thanks for loving our little local sustainable business.
